WLS 4 Saw the surgeon today and I am on my way now. I need to do the standard tests as everyone else, blood work, ekg, dietary consult, and psyche consult.

Gonna call tomorrow and get those scheduled as soon as I can, then I'll go on Friday (off that day to go to see my baseball team (Padre's) play in San Fran vs the Giants) to get all my blood work done.

Doctor told me that because my weight is all in the front that I will difficult to perform surgery on, and he wants me to loose 10% so in my case that will be 26.5 lbs. I wish I could say I started tonight, but we had potatoes and salsbury steak (frozen in gravy). But I did buy some oranges and will officially start my weight loss tomorrow evening (having a pot luck at work tomorrow at work for memorial day).

I am excited to start the ball rolling, but my main concern is Cigna denying my claim due to the 6 month supervised diet and then having them put in an exclusion barring wls in the future....I know, not something I really need to worry about but it is still a concern.

Official starting weight is 265, when I got home, I adjusted our scale to 'match' the doctor's scale. my height is 5'1" so that gives me a bmi of 50.1.  ¶ 4:38 PM 0 comments
